After fantastic SmåBUS conferences in 2018, 2023 and 2025, SmåBUS is organising its fourth international children's book conference in the heart of Småland.
SmåBUS is Children's and Youth Literature Småland.

Under the theme DARK & LIGHT IN CHILDREN'S LITERATURE, SmåBUS aims to promote the exchange of inspiration and knowledge about literature for children and young people. Children's book authors and illustrators meet here in an inspiring area for lectures, workshops and 1001 spontaneous meetings. Children's book authors and illustrators in a wonderful mix of young and older people from different countries, with different beliefs, but all with respect for each other and for children's and youth literature.
The differences between everyone will create new inspiration and international friendship.

SmåBUS 2027 creates the opportunity to connect with many colleagues.

Illustrators can participate in the international exhibition “Master Detective Blomkvist Around the World”.
Authors are also welcome to participate in the exhibition. (Information about this will be provided later.)

Together, we contribute to a fantastic cultural development in the spirit of Astrid Lindgren.

With speakers such as MARTINE LETTERIE, LOTTA GEFFENBLAD, JEF AERTS, OCTAVIE WOLTERS, ELOISE WILLIAMS, RŪTA BRIEDE, LINDA BONDESTAM, ELINA BRESLINA and KJELL STJERNHOLM, SmåBUS 2027 is sure to be wonderful!
